4: numbers (for delia)

numbers for delia cover

numbers for delia coverIt’s nearly 5 years since my last podcast and nearly 50 years since the first Doctor Who and it’s theme was shown. So I journey into the world of ‘De La Russe’, more well known as Delia Derbyshire the co-composer of that theme and many other BBC Radiophonic works.

» Now Making Link With Sound

Here I specialise with the rarer spoken word and radio works she did in the hope that the BBC some day releases this music properly (please sign the petition if you liked this podcast!). • It’s 1:15:22 – after the Dreams bit. I think it’s one of Delia’s, it claims to be, it was on an unofficial album called ‘Complete Works Compiled’ (obviously NOT the Complete Works as there’s only 67 tracks, but it sounds like one of hers, it’s quite short – 54 seconds, and only 96kbps?).
